Thesis title “Spin-Orbit Interaction of light: The role of Pancharatnam-Berry Phase”. Interactions between light’s polarization and spatial degrees of freedom in solid-state optical systems were experimentally investigated with supportive analytical modelling and numerical simulation.

Research expertise and skills

Research Skills

  • Designing and Building of Free Space, Solid-state and Fiber optical systems with laser beams ranging from visible to infra-red.

  • Analytical modelling and numerical simulations of the light’s interactions and propagation in a various medium using Jones calculus, Mueller calculus and Fourier propagation.

  • Optical beam measurement techniques such as Interferometry, Fourier fringe analysis, 1D / 2D Stokes and Mueller matrix polarimetry and Weak value amplification measurement.
